Event Space
Sunlight is a modern, vibrant event space in Medway and with great transport links, is ideally placed to host your event.
With a range of well-appointed spaces, Sunlight can accommodate meetings for as few as two people and conference events for one hundred.
Hall
Our largest, flexible space. Sunlight Hall is in the oldest part of the building, dating from *** when Sunlight was used as an industrial laundry to service contracts from the Dockyard at Chatham. This large room maintains its original hardwood flooring and is ideal for events including conferences and large meetings, sports and arts classes, live events and product launches.
Capacity : Standing 100/Seated 80
Honeybees
A useful boardroom. This useful room, opens on to a small garden and is flooded with natural light. It lends itself to smaller meetings, presentations and roundtable events. This room can also be used for classes and demonstrations. There is a small kitchen to the rear.
Capacity : 18-20 Boardroom style/40 Standing/30 seated theatre-style
Room 2
A most flexible room. This room is centred around a large open space, with two optional breakout areas. The main space can accomodate meetings and presentations alongside classes and workshops. This room has a bank of six networked computers and a kitchen including an oven and stove. Room 2 has a large door with direct access onto our carpark. One of the breakout spaces is incorporated on the ground floor, accessed through a separate door, with views into the Room 2. The other is situated on the first floor mezzanine and is completely enclosed by glass.
Capacity : 22 boardroom style/40 seated theatre style/50 standing
Above Room 2
This small area is available to hire separately from Room 2 and is ideal for small meetings, including one-to-ones.
Capacity : 5-6 seated boardroom style
Shanti
An adaptable space. This room is often used by complementary therapy practitioners, but is available for hire outside of these times. This room is ideal for small meetings and one-to-ones. This room is located on the first floor and can be accessed by lift.
Capacity : 8-10 boardroom, 15 standing
Whole Person Therapy Trust
Great for remote working. This comfortable working environment offers up to four desks, with network points and telephony. Ideal for working away from you usual base.

Café
At the heart of Sunlight Trust. This large open plan space is at the centre of our building. It operates as a community café between 8am and 4pm Monday to Friday and is available to hire outside of these times. This space is separated from the main circulation by half-height walls and is thus characterised by a sense of openness. Large sliding doors lead onto a decked terrace and the café is equipped with audio-playback equipment and a large screen, useful for presentations. This area is ideal for live performances, informal meetings and launches.
Capacity : 75 standing, 40 cabaret style
Loft
A comfortable space. This informal space is ideal for intimate meetings. The space is above Sunlight Studios control room and is equipped with a tea-point and two comfortable sofas. There is also a network computer running various design and sound-editing packages.

Parking We can offer car parking for up to 25 vehicles on site. Please talk to us to arrange parking for greater numbers locally.
Rail Gillingham train station is 5 to 10 minutes on foot or a short taxi ride away. This station is well connected via High Speed 1 to London St Pancras (46 minutes) and via Southeastern services to London Victoria (52 minutes/1 hour 12 minutes) and London Charing Cross (1 hour 19 minutes/1 hour 31 minutes). This station is also well connected to Canterbury (41 minutes) and the Kent coast including Broadstairs (59 minutes) and Dover (1 hour 9 minutes).

Road Sunlight is well placed with good, quick access via the A289 to both the A2 and M2. The M20 is also easily reached. Maidstone (27 minutes), Faversham (34 minutes), Canterbury (41 minutes), Greenwich (45 minutes) and Whitehall (1 hour 3 minutes) are all easily reached by road.
